How long for B12?

I am taking the B12 Sublingual. I know that your mucas membranes are what absorb the B12 in this process. What I DON'T know is how long does it take? I mean, I put it under my tongue and 3 minutes later it is dissolving and I am swallowing powder. Within 5 minutes I have swallowed the whole thing. So how long SHOULD I be having the B12 IN my acutal mouth? Anyone know?? Thanks!!
