Anyone with numbness in both hands?

I am 11 days post-op and ever since the surgery both sides of my hands and pinky fingers are having continuously numbness and tingling. Also both tops of my thighs are the same also. The doctors said the only thing they could think of was I was in surgery for 8 1/2 hrs with my arms out straight like a airplane. Has anyone else experence this. Thank you
