How lengthy was your entire surgery process?

I have but one more test to take, (and pass! LOL) then my DR will forward my paperwork on for review by the surgeon in charge of this area. He is the deciding factor on whether I will be approved for surgery. Approx. how long did it take after your paperwork was submitted until you had an appointment with a surgeon? I am trying to plan ahead, but have no idea at this point what to expect. Thanks for any input.
