Did I have the right to ask my PCP to see my medical chart.....

....that he has kept on me for the past 20+ years? I am asking because I am simply curious. I would love to look through it. It is, after all, my chart. Do I have the right to ask him this? Ya know, like "Give me the chart, leave the room (him) and come back in a few minutes" kind of thing? I am 5 months post op....and really, just curious.
