Has anyone ever appealed to great west ins. company?

My ins. company denied me yesterday because they said i needed year of documented/supervised weight loss attempt with my DR. so i guess i get to appeal. I i could stick with something for a rear then i probably wouldnt need WLS! Besides they knew i didnt have this and sent me on to my psych evaluation and everything! I'm very upset! can anyone give me advisce on this???!!!
