Has anyone with UHC Choice Plus received written approval?

I was approved over the phone when at my doctor's appointment on 4-1-02. The insurance girl at the office was given an authorization number. I expected to receive something in writing...but never did. When I called UHC I was told that they do NOT send out approval letters, and was given the same authorization number. Has anyone else been this way? It kind of makes me nervous...!
