Has anyone applied for life insurace after surgery?

When I purchased life insurance I was rated because of my "Build". I was wondering if anyone has had experience with purchasing life insurance after surgery? Did you get rated again because of altering your body or did your rates fall into the "normal" catagory because of reduced weight? Thank you.
