Why am I always sooooo hungry?
Hi folks. I am following all of the rules as far as I can tell. I am almost 3 months post op transected open rny. I supposedly have a 1/2 oz pouch. I am not drinking with my meals, I am getting in my 64oz+ water a day, I eat protein first...I wait 1 hr before drinking (even though my surgeon says 1/2 hr is sufficient) yet I can EASILY eat 1 cup of food at a meal at this point. I keep reading over and over about people at my point eating only 1/2 c and feeling content. WHY AREN'T I?? 1 or 2 hrs after I eat I'm hungry again. I am not craving things like I used and it's not a compulsive dissorder either. I am HUNGRY....other people can hear my stomach growl. Even though, I'm told my stomach isn't supposed to growl anymore?? I get weak and shakey until I stuff something in my mouth. I am getting in about 1200 cal average a day...seems way too much to me. What is wrong with me? Any insight would be appreciated. I'm really wishing I had a BPD/DS at this point.
