Carboxyhemoglobin Testing

My doctor will be doing a Carboxyhemoglobin Test during my pre-op testing a week before surgery. Has anyone had this test done? I have no smoked for 2 months and my surgery date is 9/11/03. Will my test show up negative for carbon monoxide?
