Anybody else develop curly hair after surgery?

Might sound silly, but it happened to me about 12-15 months after surgery. I thought it was my imagination but the hair stylist commented on it when I had my hair cut this weekend. I went through about six months of thinning hair and as it's thickened back up, it has actually become curly. I NEVER had curly hair before; body yes, curls never. Has anyone else had this experience? Just curious.
