Has anyone suffered with R.A. and had WLS?

I am asking this for the DH who is also interested but a bit nervous because of his R.A. and all the RX's he is required to take..He has very active R.A. and at times is in a lot of pain..but we know weight loss would help..he is 41yrs old and 5'10 and 260lb's...I appriciate any help/guidance I can get...Thanks
