Will there be a problem because I haven't had a regular PCP?

I hope someone can help! I haven't had a regular PCP for years due to numerous job and address changes. I've always gone to whatever Dr. was available at the clinic I happened to go to at the time. Will this present a problem? Also, I've had severe back and knee pain for a few years but have never seen a DR. for it because I've always been told they can't do anything about it. Help! Any answers would be great. Thanks!!
