how do you update your profile page?

i have tried twice to update my page i got my surgery date and was very excited and wanted to put it on my profile. anyway, my surgery is scheduled for oct.30 at salem hospital in salem massachusetts.i wanted to thank everybody.this page has been so helpful, i have learned so much, and feel i was able to make a knowledable decision and understand exactly what i am getting into, and i cant wait to get there.
