To the 'shy' people out there....

I congratulate you on wanting to take more risks and meet new people. And I appreciate your thank you to everyone who wrote in to you. You said you were too shy to thank everyone in person.... You know, many people who do not seem shy put in tremendously hard work at reaching out. It is not easy for any of us. I don't want you to feel alone in your struggle--and I don't want you to be 'fooled' by those that write in often and smoothly; it is often just as hard for them--for us--to reach out as it is for you to do so. Many people have worked at it all their lives and the only difference between success or failure IS that hard work. So I applaud your trying new things! Sometimes, that little bit of extra effort is all it takes! Though your group thank you was lovely, I would have loved the chance to hear from you personally and perhaps gotten to know you. The next time it's hard to do something, think of the pleasure that it is in your power to bring others, and that alone can make it so worthwhile! You've got a lot to offer, some of what EVERYONE needs!
