Where do I start? What sort of info do I need to gather for insurance?

I'm working at a place that has BC/BS insurance but I won't be eligible for it until June. I want to start getting everything ready now, but don't have a clue about what I will need for the insurance people. Can someone please give me a guideline to follow?
