Anyone have a revision from a VBG to RNY due to an allergy?

I had a VBG on 5/15/01. I'm very pleased with my weight loss (I'm at 180 lbs), and my surgery is considered a success by my doctor and myself. Since, I have developed an allergic reaction to my band, which has resulted in my band perferating my stomach 2 times now. My doctor has recommended a revision to a RNY. Is there anyone out there that has experienced this and had a revision? I would be interested in learning about your experiences.
