Insurance question (Anyone with a crystal ball?)
Hi everyone! I had my consult with a surgeon, and I am really disappointed! I knew that my BMI was going to be 40-41 and that it was close. When I got to the appointment, it turns out I am five feet, three and A HALF inches tall! And they consider the half! That means my BMI is 39! UGH! That means I am 4lbs from a BMI of 40. I am so disgusted! They are going to send it in for insurance approval, but I have a feeling Cigna is going to jump for joy at the chance to deny me. What do you think? I'm so close and it feels dishonest to try to gain 4 pounds...any ideas?
