GHI insurance : New York

Does anyone know if GHI is still covering WLS. My cousin just made an appointment to see my surgeon and she told me that they may not be accepting my insurance after December. I called and made an appointment in September for December 12. I'm going to call the surgeon tomorrow, but I am really upset.
