After 3 weeks, I have only lost 19 pounds. Is this normal?

Everyone else seems to be down so much more! Granted, I started at 224, but I am already feeling like a failure. I have followed my doctor's instructions, 3 meals a day, meats and veggies only. I drink between 6-8 glasses of water a day and take my vitamins. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
