why am i able to eat so much at 7 weeks post-op?

i am 7 weeks post-op from open rny. i have lost 40lbs so far. but i havent lost any weight in the last 2 weeks. maybe i have hit a plateau. but i seem to be able to eat alot more than i did a few weeks ago and it scares me that i will lose control and go back to my old habits. also, i was able to eat a small piece of cake and had no dumping. i also have pain on the right side of my stomach about half way down. it hurts on the inside when i bend over. did i pop something open inside?
