Has anyone out there had the surgery that has antibiotic allergies?

I have never found an antibiotic that I have not had an adverse reaction to. Mainly rashes and itching. Since I stay away from antibiotics as much as possible, I am concerned about having to take antibiotics as preventive medicine after surgery.
