Has anyone had expirience with out of network benefits???

My ins. co. has approved me for the surgery, I could go locally in network, but would prefer the specialists at BTC in Belvidere. I have a resonable out of pocket maximum,but am concerned if BTC's charges will fall within ins. co. guidelines for reasonable and customary charges. i am responsible for 100% of anything over R&C. If anyone has had an expierience with BTC or any other facility regarding out of network charges I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks, Dave.
