Is it possible to have a vena cava {?} filter placed laprascopically?
I'm curious to know this because I'm wheelchair bound permanantly and will be unable to get up and walk around after surgery and I am concerned about blood clots. I'm hoping to have a lap RNY and was wondering if the filter can be used via a lap surgery or do they have to perform that procedure only w/ an open WLS?
