Has anyone been able to overturn a written exclusion with BCBS of TX?

My policy states, Any services or supplies provided for reduction of obesity or weight, including surgical procedures, even if the participant has other health conditions that might be helped by a reduction of obesity or weight. Am I just plain out of luck or is there a way to appeal this? I have not recieved my denial yet, but I am sure I will.
