How soon after surgery can a stricture show? I'm 12 days Post-op

I'm 12 days post op and I'm on soft foods til Wed. I can keep down protein drinks, but with other foods I take 3 bites and it comes back up within 3 min of eating it. Should I be able to eat more? It's frustrating. Should I be asking my doctor to check for a stricture already? Or is this normal? I'm Lap Rny, eating mashed potatoes, bean soup, creamed pot. soup, and that's about it. ugh...
