Am I distal and how much protein do I need per day?

I have checked the library here as well as having done several web searches and I'm still confused. In the library I found a reference that stated the small intestines was 22 ft long. In doing my web searches they state the small intestines in approximately 330.2 centimeters which converts to just over 10ft 8in. I'm inclined to believe the web search because these were physician education sites. Which do you all think is correct? And my other question is; my op-report states that 245 centimeters (approximately 8ft 2in) were bypassed to the point where the Y connection was made. If I go with the web site info, I would have a common channel of 2ft 8in, or if I go with the info in the library my common channel would be 13ft 8in. Which way do I go? How much protein should I be taking in per day? Thanks for your help!
