I am scheduled for surgery on 1-11-00. I've only seen the Dr. once,

and that was before I had actually made up my mind to have the surgery. I am 3 hrs. away and I will have my pre-op work done the day before my surgery. I won't meet with the Dr, again until right before surgery. Does that seem weird? When will we discuss my test results from the pre-op? What tests do they run? I tried to express my concern w/the nurse,but she acted like I shouldn't be concerned.I would love any feed-back from others reguarding pre-op tests, and how many times you met w/ the Dr. prior to surgery. Thanks!
