what's the longest w/o complications someone has been off of work

after open rny? just curious, I just informed my employer tonight that I will be having this surgery and I would be off anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks, I wanted to give them the longest time, I work in a factory with alot of lifting and bending over into crates. was that accurate enough? Thanks..
