Any information about success rate of conversion from AGB to RNY?

I have my date set for Oct.16,2003. My Dr. has informed me that switching from the band to RNY is sometimes not that successful. He said something about the stomach above the band being stretched (not in my case neccesarily, just sometimes). I PRAY THIS WILL WORK! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY MY LAST CHANCE! Has anyone had this type of revision done?
