Anyone have experience with Select Blue Basic?

I presently have PA Highmark Select Blue POS insurance. As of January 1, 2003, my employer is changing our insurance to Select Blue Basic. My surgery is scheduled for January 2, 2003. Does anyone have experience with BC/BS Select BLue Basic in PA? Help!
