Should i still have surgery for PCOS, or will the surgery help it.

I am scheduled to have an ovarian wedge resection on 10/21/02 and my initial consultation is on the 10/28/02, should i go ahead and have this surgery even though WL often eliminate the symptoms. Only problem don't know if the WLS doctor will recommend it, and if insurance will approve it?????????????????
