Why is the DS the more advanced surgery, but most of you chose the RNY?

I was just wondering, because I chose the DS surgery, but it seems that 99% of the people here have had the RNY. I know the benefits of both, and the risks, and now I'm just hoping to get some personal opinions, as to why you all chose the surgery that you did. Thanks so much!
