Does anyone know why Dr. Kevin Mitchell in St. Louis is no longer doing surgery?

I was just told Dr. Mitchell is closing his practice. He did my surgery on 5/1/2001. It makes me a little nervous that Dr. Yates and now Dr. Mitchell have both quit doing RNY surgery.
