what is this skin graph for?

has anyone's surgeon told them that he would be taking a skin graph from the thigh area to wrap around the stomach? mabye i misunderstood him .if anyone knows anything that remotely sounds like this please tell me what the heck it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
