Experience with self pay at St Vincent Carmel (Indiana)?

I've been denied by my insurnace and am considering self pay. Is there anyone out there who has experience with self pay at St Vincent Carmel (IN)? What is the cost and must it all be paid in advance? Is it flat rate (i.e. in case of complications, is it more?)?
