8 months post op--leg pain and weakness
I am 8 months post op--46 yrs old, female, down 83 lbs. I've had almost no problems so far, but.....about 4 weeks ago I started experiencing aching pains in my left leg, traveling the length of the leg, accompanied by weakness. Now my right leg is experiencing weakness, but no pain. This aching pain happens sitting, standing, lying down, walking, whatever. This pain travels up and down the outer portion only of the entire leg. This is not joint pain. I have not fallen down yet, but I find walking a challenge now, having to hold onto walls and furniture for support. I have been faithfully taking in my protein, water, supplements (multivitamin, calcium citrate, B-12, biotin, zinc, vitamin C). I have started doubling up on the multivitamin and B-12, noticing no improvement. At my six month check up, my iron levels were low, so now I also take a prescription iron supplement daily. I will be contacting my doctor shortly, are there any suggestions? I am suspecting a malabsorption issue, just which one(s)? Thanks for your input.
