HAS ANYONE ELSE
Has anyone else "tested the waters" with eating certain foods after surgery and then regretting it? I have. My 1 yr. anniversary is next Sat. on Feb. 14th. Valentine's Day. For the most part I am doing well. I don't know what I weigh now, but at my 9 mos. check up I had lost a total of 76 lbs. I know I can do things to improve. I am doing more exercise now. I was told by my surgeon's office to throw away the scale. (of course they meant just not to weigh myself like crazy) Anyways, for awhile I was on a chocolate kick, and now I am back to craving the pastas, breads, and crackers. I try not to eat too many. I wish that I NEVER "TESTED THE WATERS" I really wish that everytime I ate a cracker or a piece of chocolate; for example, that I would not tolerate it, but I do. For the most part, if I eat too much chocolate ( I confess-- been there done that, but not in awhile) I do dump. Lately I am stressed because I am getting married in May. Alot going on. I just went back to work part time at one of my first jobs down here since living in Florida since May 1998. I am keeping as busy as I can. Can't afford a gym now, but walk and exercise as much as I can. The main point of this posting is I want to know what your experiences are if you have "tested the waters" and regret ever eating certain "poison" foods as I call them! I wish that my stomach just wouldn't allow those foods to go down. Anyway, for the most part I am doing well. I am trying to be as positive as I can. Not trying to sound negative on here. Just could use some friendly words of wisdom, and tips from those of you who could provide some! If you are like me and made mistakes with eating foods you shouldn't have, then let me know. I like to know that there are others out there like me. My tool is something that I have to work with-- I know. Ever since the surgery as a post-op--it's the hardest thing that I have ever had to do in my life. I always thought that the weight would just melt off without trying---- boy is that a fallacy!!! Anyway, good luck to all reading, and please feel free to check out my profile and respond.
