My protein drinks are yummy... here's how!
I'm onto something that I just have to share. I have found a way to jazz up my chocolate protein drink (I use Optimum 100% Whey brand). I make it with 8 oz of water, one scoop of powder (maybe a little more so that I can get the total pro grams up to 30), and then I add a couple of teaspoons of CoffeeMate Hazelnut creamer powder (or a tablespoon and half of the fat-free liquid version). I use a shaker to get it well-blended, then add ice. Yum, yum, yum. Yes, it adds some extra calories (around 30 with the powdered creamer), but it's better than using milk, and makes it taste delish (nice and creamy, with a touch of hazelnut). I look forward to my protein "treats"! Anyone else with any tricks up their sleeve? JK, RN
