Does the initial feeling of fullness change in a few months?

I had an open RNY (Distal) on 12/10. Initially I had an very distinct feeling when I got full, however in the apast few days I have not had that , although I do still get full, but where my body told me before, now it seems to come from my head telling me I am full? I was a little nervous, I found comfort in my new stomach telling I had enough..I know I am still now overeating..but Is this normal??
