can anyone share their hernia repair experiences with me

I am going to need a hernia repair sooner or later. my Dr. suggested waiting till near goal and having the TT at the same time. I think I want to have another baby and dont want a TT yet. What was the procedure and recovery like? LAP or OPEN? How long in the hospital? How much pain involved??? Anyone have it repaired then get another hernia? Thank You for sharing with me>
