Has anyone had their period return after surgery?

I haven't had a period for a year. My PCP says it's due to the weight. At 46, I thought it was menopause. In my opinion, it's the only good side effect of being fat. Also, does everyone usually need a tummy tuck? It seems like that's what I'm reading and it makes me nervous, since my insurance won't cover it. I'm hoping to lose 125-150 lbs.
