Pre op bloodwork problems

My surgery is scheduled for July 11th, today the Dr's office calls and tells me that they have to postpone my surgery because I am VERY anemic and I have to go see yet another Dr. that specializes in blood problems, has anyone else experienced this? HELP! I am getting very discouraged. Thanks.
