Will my hernia recur if I don't have a TT at the same time as the hernia repair?

My paperwork has been submitted to BCBS of GA for hernia repair w/abdominoplasty. I called BCBS today to check the status of the precert and was told that just yesterday they sent a request for more information to the provider. So, in an effort to get my ducks in a row in order to try to have the abdominoplasty covered by ins, if I do not have the TT done, will there be an increased chance of the hernia recurring? I had open RNY on 10/21/03 and am down from 295 to 167 - hoping to get down to 145. Thanks!
