Are reconstructive surgeries tax deductable?

I had a lower body lift and liposuction done in October. This was not just for cosmetic reasons, but for medical reasons (lower back pain), however insurance would not pay for it so it was self pay. Has anyone deducted such costs from their U.S. Taxes?
