A little round ball at the incision sometimes there--is it a hernia?

I have what appears to be a hernia at my incision site but I'm not sure. Sometimes it poofs out and feels hard like I am pregnant in my upper incision by the ribs--other times it is not there. I didn't lift anything for three months and I was very careful--does it sound like a hernia to you? No pain other than a clicking when I bend forward. It's a weird feeling! Is it dangerous?
