Has anyone been diagnosed with hypothyroidism post-op?

Has anyone been diagnosed with hypothyroidism post-op? I am 8 months post-op and in the past couple of weeks I have dropped 20 pounds. I have had a steady drop in weight since my surgery, but not this much in such a short period of time. Should I be concerned about hypothyroidism? Is there any other logic behind this? My food intake and activities have remained the same. The only thing that has been different lately is that I had my gallbladder removed about a month ago. I have heard that it is harder to lose weight after that though. I am just a little concerned and would appreciate any comments. By the way, I am 8 months post- op and down 155 pounds. YAHOO!!
