Why does my heart rate increase when I eat?

Does anyone else experience this? Anytime I eat, my heart rate increases. I feel as though I've just "stoked the little fire inside me". It only lasts a few minutes after I'm done eating, and then returns to normal. But it's weird. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks much!
