Help with artificial sweetners

Before surgery I would get nauseas if I drank anything with NutraSweet in it. Now I am post op and I thought Splenda was my option but that also makes me feel sick. I am trying to stay away from sugar but not sure what else to try. I am only 10 days post op so I am hoping this will go away with time.
