How do you start a local support group?

I am trying to start a local support group in either Madison or Covington (Georgia) depending on where most of the people are comming from. I am just curious if anyone out there can send me some information on how they got their support group started as I would like for this group to be successful. I would appreciate any tips or advice and would love to here if anyone is interested in attending.
