do i have the right to physically be at my appeal review?

i have been denied by ohio medicaid and (get this) i am over 320# and the woman i talked to told me over the phone that because i am getting married next year (which is on my psych eval) and want to lose ONLY 80# and the fact that i only have high blood pressure and some breathing problems that i am not basicly sick enough. do i have the right to face these people and appear at my appeal review?? please help!! thanks in advance for any advice or words of wisdom.
